A retired Air Force colonel, Robert Listou abandoned his studies at the University of Wisconsin and enlisted in World War II. He later completed his undergraduate engineering education at the Air Force Institute of Technology, received an MS degree in management at Purdue University, and took independent courses in business law and psychology. A pilot and operations officer during the early part of his career, Listou subsequently worked in aircraft development and acquisition, as an inspector general, and headed the staff in Air Force headquarters responsible for planning and controlling the AF-wide organization structure. Following retirement after 27 years he joined 2 others in growing an organizational management consulting firm, serving during 20 years as COO. Building on ideas engendered in the early 1960's, and enriched by consulting engagements, one with The White House, he continued to develop his concept of mind-centric visual discovery of meaningful relations in data, of almost any type. The goal of his software inventions (4 patents, 1 pending) has been a Windows program, Reason, that supports human reasoning.
